HOUSE RULES

In order to ensure that everyone has a pleasant time during the festival, the following house rules apply. Entering the festival grounds is done at your own risk and means that you accept these house rules.

  • Video and audio recordings are made throughout the day. By entering the site you agree that these recordings may be made public in any way. This also applies to (press) photographers and other partners of Just Jazz and D.S.J.V. Groover.
  • Be friendly, patient and help fellow visitors. Bring your good mood and keep the atmosphere relaxed and cozy. We all want a clean festival, deposit waste in the appropriate bins.
  • The noise levels on the site can be higher than 85 dB(A), you might want to bring hearing protection.
  • It is not allowed to bring your own food, drinks or soundsystems. Drugs are not allowed on the terrain.
  • We don't serve alcoholic beverages to underaged visitors.
  • Always follow the instructions given by organisation and security staff.
  • Just Jazz and D.S.J.V. Groover do not accept any liability for loss, damage and/or theft of or to your goods. Your stay on the festival site is entirely at your own risk. Just Jazz and D.S.J.V. Groover also accept no liability for damage or injury to yourself or your fellow visitors.
  • If you decide not to comply with the rules, we are forced to refuse you access or confiscate items. Dutch law applies on the Just Jazz site.

    ARE YOU OKAY?

    See something concerning? Ask the question: 'Are you okay?' Unwanted behavior is never okay, even at concerts, festivals, or clubs. Together, let's ensure everyone has a great time.

Unwanted sexual behavior is not okay and will not be tolerated at Just Jazz Festival. If unwanted sexual behavior occurs, a warning will be issued. If the behavior continues after the warning, the perpetrator will be asked to leave the event. If you see someone being harassed, ask them: Are you okay? Report unwanted sexual behavior to staff or security on our premises. Need help? The Center for Sexual Violence is available 24/7 for assistance (0800-0188).

    Who can I ask questions to?

    You can email us anytime with questions! Send your email to justjazz@grooverjazz.nl On the day of the festival you can approach the crew in dungarees with questions.

    Is the festival accessible for everybody?

    Yes, the festival is for all ages and adapted for people with impaired movement.

    Can I come back on the terrain after leaving?

    Yes, it is possible to leave the festival terrain and re-enter later. We want you to have a great time at Just Jazz, so feel free to step out for some fresh air and return to continue enjoying the event. Since the doors will close at 23:00 it’s not possible to come back inside after 23:00.

    What will I do with my bag and coat?

    You can use the wardrobe at Theater de Veste free of charge.

    Will the music be very loud?

    The noise levels will not surpass any legal limits. However, the music can be louder than 85 dB(A), so it is advised to bring your own hearing protection! There are also earbuds available at the wardrobe.

    Where can I purchase drinks during Just Jazz?

    Drinks are available at the bars located on the Vesteplein (outside) and next to both of the indoor stages. Please keep in mind that the whole festival will be PIN only!

    Is there food on the terrain?

    There will be food truck outside Theater de Veste provided by Moodz with a variety of meals and snacks.

    How can I pay at the festival?

    The whole festival is PIN-ONLY. We do not accept cash within the festival grounds. This policy allows us to provide a secure and efficient transaction process for all our attendees.

    Will I need to show identification when purchasing alcoholic beverages?

    Yes, at Just Jazz, we take the responsible service of alcohol very seriously. In accordance with local laws and our commitment to the safety of our patrons, we require all customers to present a valid ID when purchasing alcoholic beverages. This includes but is not limited to, driver's licenses, passports, and government-issued identification cards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.

    What security measures are in place at the Just Jazz Festival?

    The safety and security of all attendees is prioritized at the festival. We have dedicated security personnel and FAFS officers (BHV in Dutch) on site, easily identifiable by their clothing. They are trained to handle any security concerns or emergencies that may arise. We encourage all attendees to alert these security personnel if assistance is needed, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

    Is there an accessible toilet on the terrain?

    Yes. The entire terrain is accessible by wheelchair.

    Where can I park my car?

    Right next to Theater de Veste is a parking garage (Zuidpoort Parkeergarage), where you are able to park your car.
